What are PLAY & GO videos

These are videos to be used in the classroom with 1) teacher-led sessions for extra practice using a game format where the entire class can participate either individually or in groups, 2) in phonics workstations or 3) in a home school setting. 

How to use this video

• Preview it before class so you know what to expect.

• Show one video per day. Allow students to replay a game later if they enjoy it and will benefit from the extra practice.

• Monitor the class with demonstrations or extra explanations if needed.

• Play the game for a turn or two as a demonstration then allow students to play the rest.

• Pause the video as needed for extra time or classroom management.

How is this video for?

This 15-minute video gives your preschool, kindergarten, or Grade 1 students the extra practice they need in reading/sounding out simple consonants, the key to applying the alphabet. Your students will love the lively hands-on-approach to practicing the consonant sounds.

The video includes 5 consonant games to practice simple consonants. The games are for classroom or home school use for preschool to grade 1 students.

These games work great for additional phonological awareness as individual work or phonics work settings.

The games focus on simple consonants, not consonant digraphs. For consonant digraphs, please search for products with those names in my store.
